Sucette Shophouse

Enter our universe

Welcome to the Sucette Shophouse, a soulful sanctuary that honours heritage, in the middle of bustling old Bangkok… Where you can leave the world behind and let your heart dance...

Welcome to Sucette Shophouse

Get lost wandering the streets of dust and gold, enter a chamber of dreams and let go of reality to enter another lifetime…

Dance with your inner spirits as you descend the path where future memories emerge, perhaps from another enchanted realm…

Within these walls lie fragile memories...

Welcome to the Sucette Shophouse, a former peanut shop still harbouring the original walls, floors, ceiling, and structure from its past incarnation.

I stumbled upon this gem of a building, a typical Chinese style shophouse with two stories and a minute mezzanine, after our first trip back to Europe since my son was born, and immediately fell in love…

Wandering the familiar streets of Paris, my other home, and experiencing the magic of converted historic spaces in the old city inspired an intense desire to create a similar emotion for Sucette.

A former peanut shop gets a second life...

Opening our own flagship seemed evident, to be able to create beautiful experiences for our clients and community, but deciding to open our very first flagship in a historic Chinese shophouse away from the downtown shopping malls was definitely a leap of faith and not for the faint of heart!

Why we chose this atmospheric building as our flagship

Because as a brand I know our mission is to contribute something truly unique to the local and global culture, because history and memory are fragile and worth preserving, because some places have a soul that should be seen and felt… But most of all because what an incredible chance to be a steward of a heritage site, and to get to play in such a magical space!

If these walls could talk...

I internationally left the original walls–complete with its old “grafiti” (written by the original inhabitant who endearingly called himself “uncle” in dialect Chinese when addressing me)  , floor and structure intact. (And yes, the writings all say good things! Mostly incantations to bring luck, prosperity and wealth!)

Future memories in the making

I wanted to honour the authenticity of the space’s history, originally a peanut shop, in a city where architecture seems as ephemeral as the Siamese twilight and remnants of old Bangkok are increasingly rare…

Let’s have fun creating new spectacular memories in this tiny corner of old Bangkok… who’s with me?

Cannot wait to welcome you to our new home

With love & light,
